Since 2004, this event, 墾丁大會師, started with just a few people. After 20 years, it has grown to over 1,000 attendees and more than 30 volunteers as an annual event.

I woke up at 4:30 a.m. and only got about 2 hours of sleep. After approximately two hours of traveling on provincial roads, I arrived at the event gathering point and saw many others who were also there to participate in the event. Since it was my first time attending, I simply followed the crowd to the starting point.

Due to the large number of participants, even though the roads were crowded, I managed to make some new friends. I also gained a deeper understanding of the event through explanations from participants who have been attending for over ten years.

I fell twice in the mud. Although I wasn’t injured, my lunch was ruined. By the time I reached the rest area, I felt a bit hungry but was too exhausted to eat much.
I also met some friends I knew, but their skills were far beyond mine, so I couldn’t keep up. Instead, I continued at my own pace, moving forward slowly.

I initially thought the event ended here, but it turned out that the second half was just beginning. It involved climbing slopes equivalent to about three stories high and traversing even more muddy roads. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring my camera to capture it all.
Here, I’d like to share the official video.
A big thanks to the photographers at the event for capturing so many memorable moments for us. I also warmly invite everyone to join this annual grand event in Taiwan in 2025!

Another big thanks to the dedicated volunteers who prepared everything for us, as well as to the government for approving the road access, enabling us to participate in this event.
Events like this are a rare opportunity for off-road motorcycle riders in Taiwan. I hope everyone can cherish such events and give their utmost support to the organizing team. Let’s look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
